Tottenham Hotspur hosts Brighton & Hove Albion at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Boxing Day
Tottenham Hotspur hosts Brighton & Hove Albion at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Boxing Day round of the Premier League. Here are our English Premier League predictions for this fixture from the 19th round.
Tottenham approach this fixture after suffering a dissapointment in the previous round. During the weekend Spurs hosted Chelsea at home, but the manager Jose Mourinho got beaten by his former club and former player Frank Lampard. Chelsea won this match with 2-0 with two goals scored by the Brazilian international Willian. Spurs ended the game with a man less on the pitch as Son Heung-Min got sent off in the 62th minute. He won’t be avaliable against Brighton & Hove.
After this defeat Tottenham are now 7th in the Premier League with 26 points, but just two points behind the 5th Sheffield United. It was Jose Mourinho’s second defeat in the Premier League since he manages the club.
Against Brighton & Hove Mourinho could make some changes in his line-up. Against Chelsea he started Christian Eriksen and Tanguy NDombele from the bench, but the two midfielders could return in the starting line-up. Giovani Lo Celso is another interesting option for the Special One.
Brighton & Hove Albion also lost their last game in the Premier League. During the weekend they hosted Sheffield United at the American Express, but suffered a 0-2 loss. It was the club’s 8th defeat since the beginning of the season. Because of this Brighton & Hove are now 13th in the league with 20 points. They are still 5 points ahead of the 18th Aston Villa, but this gap could be reduced very quickly and they know this.
That’s our English Premier League predictions for the match between Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday. Are Spurs going to enjoy a win at Boxing Day? Well, we will see.
